Concealed Carry Handgun I – FASS201

Target Group:

Individuals who currently carry a concealed carry handgun, and strive to be able to properly use it to defend themselves during a violent encounter.

Course Description:

FASS202 is an 8 hour advanced level Concealed Carry course which will develop students’ confidence in carrying and using their concealed carry handgun of choice during a violent confrontation. This will be accomplished through defensive pistol shooting fundamentals, identification of situations warranting lethal force, as well as force on force scenarios.

Curriculum Outline:

  • Firearms safety
  • Safety concerns of carrying concealed and handgun retention
  • Multiple shot placement
  • Routine pistol inspection and preventative maintenance
  • Concealed carry drills
  • Engaging targets from cover or concealment
  • Moving then Shooting
  • Malfunction clearing
  • Force on Force Simmunitions scenarios

Required Equipment:

  • Self Defense Pistol or Revolver chambered in .380, 9mm, 40 S&W, .357 Sig, 45 ACP, .38 SPL, or .357 Magnum
  • 2 Magazines or 3 speedloaders (additional magazines or speedloaders encouraged)
  • Belt mounted IWB or OWB holster
  • Casual civilian clothing consistent to your everyday attire
  • Eye and Ear Protection
  • Sneakers or boots capable of use in athletic training

**Tuition includes free loan of firearm, holster, and safety gear.**

  • Estimated rounds needed: 300
    • 250 FMJ
    • 50 Simmunitions
